‘Connection in Division’ talks of how,
in each relationship (be it family, friend, or romantic), we each bring our own story, our own past to the table, and between these exists love. These stories can divide and sometimes build a relationship. There is always two sides to each story.
Each side of the painting has many many layers of asemic writing encased in wax and paint, some is hidden and some visible (just as humans are). Between each side is a string of 108 collaged hearts collages carved in wax.
Mixed Media: Acrylic, ink, spray paint, collage, encaustic wax, and oil paint.
